RESEARCH, REFERRAL, REPRESENTATION The Research provided you will be a free assessment of your disabilities as they relate to the laws and regulations provided under the Code of Federal Regulations. You simply would need to call me and discuss your case and the consult will be free of charge. The Referral for an Independent Medical Evaluation will be used in most cases after a review of your medical situation and rating via the research provided you. The best available Independent Forensic Medical Specialists is Dr. Bash (www.craigbashmd.com) as he has done over 4000 cases with excellent results (in the 80-90% win rate). He will review your case, provide an examination and/or medical review, and write a medical opinion (that I can review for legal info) that would have substantial probative value when the VA weighs all the evidence. He is also available to meet you in person at a local DC airport and/or testify for you at any hearing depending on location thus I highly recommend Dr. Craig Bash as an in person exam is often needed. The issue of Representation is always a big decision. For an initial claim, I recommend County Veterans Officers and Congressionally Chartered Veterans Claims Representatives who work with the VA and who will represent you at no charge along with an IME from DR. Bash because these cases hinge on the medical information and to not have it upfront slows down your claim. . They are highly trained, motivated and have the experience required to represent your case before the VA. I know some of them personally and can give you references if need be. If you need to appeal, an accredited attorney or veterans agent like myself would be available at a fee to represent you, but only at the point of filing a notice of disagreement regarding your claim. I would charge a flat fee that is much less than the normal percentage attorneys charge as I utilize Dr. Bash's highly probative medical evaluation in my evidence to the VA. The fee for an Independent Medical Evaluation is between you and Dr. Bash and needs to be paid upfront so that his opinion cannot be construed as biased due to a vested interest in the outcome. The fee I charge is dependent upon if you win your case. The Office of General Counsel would have to approve the fee I charge to represent you as would the VA Regional Office.
